With Meta Angels, we’re building a community of problem solvers who want to roll up their sleeves and help others. That could mean opening doors and making introductions, offering their expertise, or even presenting employment opportunities.
The heart of Meta Angels is a tool called The Wishing Well that allows our members to provide help, connections, and advice in response to specific asks from the community. Dive into our Wishing Well on Discord, scroll through to see where you can help, and post your own wishes!
We believe that hands-on, strategic moderation is crucial to the long-term success of the community. We know that not everyone spends 24/7 on Discord, and we see it as our role to help each member make the most of their time within our community.
We’ve created a unique moderation approach: Catalysts are our moderators who will follow conversations within the Discord, and selectively tap community members from our directory to direct the right people toward requests they’re uniquely equipped to help with.
Network access is a critical determinant of a person’s success, yet it is also one of the most systematically biased aspects of modern life. Power and access are concentrated, and one’s ability to navigate or be excluded from networks is often determined by factors like race, gender, location, and socioeconomic status.
We’re committed to inclusivity and access, and have developed a mechanism that allows holders of multiple Meta Angel NFTs to loan membership to a mentee or other individual who otherwise would not be able to participate.
This is yet another way for community members to live the value of generosity, by extending access to a valuable community to someone who could not purchase the NFT themselves. Our smart contract is the first NFT lending mechanism of its kind, and we hope will inspire other projects to consider access and inclusion as part of their own structures.

While anonymity is a norm in the NFT community, we believe that transparency is right for Meta Angels. We are using our IRL networks, knowledge, and social capital to help each other, and that is greatly facilitated by trust and authenticity.
That is why our own teas fully doxxed. We want you to know who is behind Meta Angels, and as much as possible, who else is a Meta Angel with you.
We also have an opt-in directory of members’ skills and expertise. Like in real life, knowledge and social capital are shared more freely when you know who you’re talking to. It does not focus on identity (we understand the need for anonymity for some in the space) but instead allows each member to share their superpowers, passions and areas of strengths so that we can tap them for wishes and opportunities that align.
Our collection is made up of 10,000 unique Meta Angels, generated from over 400 hand drawn elements and stored on the Ethereum Blockchain. Our Angels represent the vastness and similarity between us all.
Created from the same base, our angels showcase beauty in diversity. Strong, kind, and generous, they stand for the better world that we build together through our actions. The angels are also available in high resolution, allowing you to print them and bring this symbol of our community into the real world.
Sarana is a Māori-Australian artist, muralist, and ceramicist. She is Aslan Ruby in the NFT world, and works on this project with her husband Tom, with great patience from their four daughters.
Sarana is passionate about socioeconomic equality, gender and racial representation, and diversity — and these themes are visible in her work. She is especially passionate about Indigenous cultural representation and mental health support for mothers.
